If you’re anything like me, the thought of baking your own bread is terrifying and visions of flour covering every square inch of your kitchen is enough to not even try. I am here to tell you, however, that this is an easy homemade bread recipe that is really good and doesn’t take your entire day to bake. Win win!

One of the things that can be disheartening about working on your house is that it often feels like you’re just throwing money at problems, even when DIY-ing it. Since I moved in last summer, my boyfriend and I have bought light fixtures, rugs, porch furniture, living room furniture, dining room chairs…the list goes on. And while I try my best to find a good deal (or a garbage-truck-bound dining room table to refinish), all of those expenses add up fast. As a person of a certain age (cough, cough, late 20s), I often want nice things but my taste outpaces my bank account. Can anyone relate? This headboard from West Elm has been on my radar for a while now and is so deliciously beautiful. This is one of those projects that had such a HUGE impact that I wish I had done it right when I moved in. I lived with these gross, one-inch white tile countertops for over a year before I got around to attempting a DIY feather finish concrete counter. I truly don’t know why anyone would choose to have mosaic tile countertops; the grout is impossible to keep clean and whoever installed mine didn’t do a good job with the transition from the flat surface of the counters to the front edge. Since I was already working with industrial exposed rafters, going with an industrial look concrete counter felt like a good option here, and I love any reason to DIY something. Read more for the full rundown of how to apply feather finish concrete over tile counters.
I have been crushing on these adorable pom pom earrings from Ban.do for a while now. Remember how I can’t stop putting pom poms on everything? Well apparently that extends to my ears. However, being the incessant do-it-yourselfer that I am, I decided I could make these myself. See below for the full how-to on making your own DIY pom pom earrings.
